Top 200 Is For High School Players And College Coaches

The event is designed for high school football players who have a strong desire to play college football. Each regional event is strictly limited to the first 200 players who fill the limited roster spots for each position. All programs listed have confirmed with us in writing that they will coach at this event. The event is run by the college coaches in attendance.

Players will receive measurements in their speed, agility, accuracy, and other metrics throughout the day. Players will be ranked amongst other players in their regional event. Players will also have access to their national ranking once all events have been run for that season. All statistics will appear on Ryzer Leaderboards so players can compare themselves to their peers from around the country.

Top 200 Football Showcase Featured Coaches

The events feature college football coaches from various levels of the NCAA, as their schedules allow, as well as NAIA and Junior College who are active throughout the event. Not only will coaches be present to take all measurements throughout the event, but they will be there to work with you on how to improve your game. See each event’s website for a list of specific programs.

What To Expect At Top 200 Events

Along with instructing during drills and stations, the college coaches in attendance will use their combined 100+ years of football experience to evaluate you in the “immeasurables” throughout the day. Being on the same field together at Top 200 events gives both coaches and players the opportunity to learn more about each other. All events are no pads, no helmet, no contact.

We encourage all registered football players to engage the coaches when appropriate throughout the event. Measurables are important.  But coaches, like players, want to get to know the people they are going to spend four years with. It’s a great opportunity to talk with the people who can help you navigate the path to academic and athletic scholarships, as well as need-based aid, at their institutions. While talent and grades are obviously important, so is attitude, “coachability”, field presence, and the ability to work with teammates.

High School Players Considering College Football

With so many different levels of college football, it’s often hard to gauge where you stand. Coaches have a clear outline of the type of player that fits their academic and athletic profile. Top 200 events help families narrow down the options of college and football programs that may be best for them.

The Levels of College Football

The vast majority of NCAA football is played outside of major NCAA Division I. In fact, 62% of NCAA football is either Division II or Division III. The two levels of NCAA DI Football make up the remaining 38% -- NCAA DI FBS (20%), NCAA DI FCS (18%).
When you factor in the other levels of college football, like NAIA and Junior College, it quickly becomes clear that non-Division I football makes up nearly 75% of all of college football.
